During my recent trip to Prague, I passed by a place that instantly made my day – Mardini Kebab & Pizza. They were playing loud Kurdish music, the first time I heard my own culture’s sound in the Czech Republic. I stopped to say hello and promised the friendly owner I’d return later – and I’m so glad I did!
That same evening, I went back for dinner, and what an absolutely amazing experience it turned out to be. The owner, a kind and passionate Kurdish man from Mardin, has truly brought a piece of his homeland to Prague. He shared that they had only opened a few months ago, which made me even more excited to support them.
I ordered the doner, and it honestly took my heart. It was fresh, flavorful, and authentic – hands down the best I’ve had in Prague. I’ve tried many kebab spots across the city, but none hit the mark like this one. It truly felt like I was back in the origin country of kebabs.
After the meal, I was offered a glass of Kurdish tea – warm, aromatic, and comforting – and a piece of homemade milky cake that was simply divine. I can’t even describe how delicious it was – you just have to try it.
The service was excellent, the owner was welcoming and generous, and the place was spotless. I left with a full heart and a full stomach.

It’s a small and cozy spot with just 4 tables inside and 2 outside, giving it a welcoming feel. The service was kind and helpful, making the experience even better. The food was well-balanced and tasty—I tried the durum and it was spot on. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s perfect for a quick lunch if you like kebabs, durum, or pizza. A solid choice for casual dining.

Late in the city and too late to eat? No problem, this place is open late, serves delicious, life saving kebab, providing food for a starving girlfriend. A game changer. She is grateful and happy now. Thank you for everything!

We took Mardin durum it was one of the best durum I had. I was with my kids and Ibrahim host us so warm, he gave the drinks for them and tea for my wife. Highly recommended

Excellent Hospitality. There was a transaction error when i made payment using my utrip card. He allowed me to come back the next day to make payment. I still got a free tea for coming back. Thank you. May Allah bless you & your family.

They have very delicious döner and other dishes as well. I definitely recommend trying it. They were very friendly and attentive. When I went there with my foreign friends, they even offered us tea — such a kind gesture!
Very tasty. They put a lot on your pizza, but they also put a lot on your kebab.
